Thread: Decency problem on Titan server

So, I'm noticing a problem on the Titan server, in particular...

Folks, flying a gunship is hard work, with walkers, AA, and SAAW user's (trained by the legendary Laggy, who used to be a resident of these parts) all over the place. Worse, those SAAW's in particular can be *anywhere* rendering the entire battlefield an unfriendly place to the peace-loving gunship pilot.

Occasionally, through all of this firepower trained against him, the intrepid and noble gunship pilot manages to line up a transport, get into a firing position, and even maybe score a few hits.

So, imagine my shock and dismay when those cowardly transport crews simply abandon their transports instead of bravely attempting to evade, or shoot me down! Do realize how much the taxpayers spent on those high-tech machines that you are discarding??

C'mon, I'm probably terribly wounded already, you might as well finish me off with those door-guns! That's what they're for, after all, right? Think of how empowering it will be...

And if, and the end of the day, I have out-shot you, the noble thing to do is go down with your ship. I mean, really, who wants to walk all the way back to civilization? Think of how much time you waste when you could have died like a hero and respawned already?

So, let's get a few more heroic deaths from you air transport folks! Thirty-five heroic deaths in a round, to be precise!

The title of this is a little misleading. I saw the title, and I thought WTF, is there a decency glitch?

i hate that as a gunship pilot cause you work hard to line up the shot and they jump out but that is why your gunner should also be lighting them up. but worst of all someone might just spawn in the transport as it is falling and boom they die before the realize what happened. that has happened to me quite a few times

That is precisely why the pilot should NEVER bail in titan mode if he really gives a rats ass about his team. If Im looking for a stratigic spawn point and I see a white dot moving towards my objective Im gonna spawn there. If I spawn in, with half my squad, on a transport that is being flown by a ghost into the ground I start hitting "Page Dwn" to punish the TK'er.
The crew can jump, thats what the MG on the gunship is for, but if your the pilot dont be a little bitch; learn to fly, find some cover and try and land your transport so people can spawn and cap silos. Gunship pilots hate it when a transport out manuvers them

Or just pull up and watch them fly right past you.

I'll definitely gun for you if you promise to quit flying into trees and cliffs...


(Actually, I don't get to gun often, so I am happy to do so. I found recently that once I have warmed up and have the right sensitivity on my mouse, I've been able to whack air transports fairly consistently now, which is fun.)

As for the dastardly tricks the rest of you mention, those are fine if you're on *my* team. If you're on the *other* team, then you need to be riding that sucker in like the cowboy in Dr. Strangelove...
