Ok I get it. First, ANY commander shouldent be fighting. Ive been kicked for doing that even though im a SL. So i was staying on top of a building so I didnt die inorder to continue giving orders to the squad(s). Thats why I was up there in the first place. I was stuggling to get up there the second round. But i got up there and commanded my team and not fight so i wouldnt get kicked again. And well, i did ask everyone on the team and even the squad if they wanted to use it before I uesed it and **NOBODY** answerd it.

Ok, Don I think you may be a little confused…or at least your post reads that way.
A Commander and a Squad Leader are two different positions and have distinct rolls.
A Squad leader is expected to fight with his or her squad and give orders, also receiving and relate orders from the commander to the squad. By no means are you to camp someplace and tell your squad and those spawning on a transport that you used to get to your camp spot to take it “if they wanted to use it” unless for some reason your commander tells you that is your job. You are to fight.
A Commander is a desk job pretty much. Your duty is to find a secure place, typically near the teams assets (including the titan) to repair and defend said assets on an as needed basis. (And that is pretty much the extent of the fighting.) Otherwise he/she is under the “hood” commanding the squads, giving them directions and heads up on what they are going to come into contact with as they move onto their objective. A commander is NOT a person who calls back the team in order to draw the enemy to their spot to pad their score with snipes. A Commander is NOT one who runs out in his own lone wolf manner with his command rose blazing and not doing a thing for his team but suck up assets that they need to win…or at least fight a good and efficient fight.
So, I know you posted in here not to get reamed out for doing something wrong. We are trying be constructive with our criticism here and help you along to a good healthy teamplayer. (Truth be told, you steped up to be a leader which is more than alot can say) Take your time, learn and keep playing. If you have questions don’t be afraid to ask, but don’t think TTP has it wrong just because you may have your facts a little off.
Hope to see you in the field.

as commander your job is to command not to snip ro fly around as there is more to commanding then sniping as the Battel field does chang so much that you have to stay on top of the action and move players to where they are needed .
but that is just my thoughts.

Re: OMG guys. You dont understand.
Vito you are new we all know that, you should take some time being a squad member and learning tactics and methods before you try to command or SL.
This game requires massive teamwork, if your not helping your team and just getting some kills in the air transport, then thats bad...
As a commander if you are new to the job you should never fight like spanky said, but at times you are required to fight (IE, times of low players, or if your team is doing well/Has a common order that does not need updateing). Still keep in the mentality of never fighting as commander though.
Stay back, follow, and learn the game. Are you in the officer ranks yet? If not then it is a good idea to sit back and learn from the vets.
