DAMN PING
Ya so I can not play on the BF2 TTP server because my ping is 190 and the highest I have seen is 1000 so I'm getting kicked allot... as most of you probably do not know I just moved to Germany so my old ping of about 60 sky rocketed to this 190-1000 and the only way that I know of to fix this is to get the fastest internet that I'm offered (cable high speed 6000) but I do not think that it will help much
So I think this might be the end of me and TTP servers

Re: DAMN PING
The faster internet connection in and of itself won't help.... BUT changing providers MIGHT. It all depends on the provider's upstream and how many hops it takes to get to TTP. You might want to find other people that have a different provider and do some pings to see what kind of response times you get.

Re: DAMN PING
Damn, I know what you mean man...my ping is usually around 100-200, sometimes I get kicked when it sky rockets, but that hasn´t happened lately, although when it does, the problem lasts for weeks.

Re: DAMN PING
I get around 145-160 ping from Norway, went slightly down when I switched providers, but it seems it is now as good as it gets.
Sucks when you lag out and spend all round staring at blue skies, but it is usually all right. Just have to make some adjustments to your playstyle to compensate for being stuck in the recent past all the time...For when the One Great Scorer comes, to write against your name, he writes not that you won or lost, but how you played the Game

Re: DAMN PING
Well as many know I live in Switzerland which is about the same distance to Texas than Germany. I usually play with a ping between 130 to 200 and it works quite good for me. I only remember once when I get kick for a high ping a long time ago. I'm sorry to hear u only have 1 choice and that one's not providing a good connection.
