Is is possible to lower the map change vote requirements per certain maps? This way, if those maps came up and the servers "emptied" there might be an easier chance of switching it to something else.

I, too, would hate to see them removed.

I have searched for a way to change the voting threshold since I got to 2142. I've never found a way. And as long as we have people that have the Opt Out option turned on so they never even SEE the vote, it will be an uphill battle for any type of vote to succeed, map change or kick.

I would be up for lowering the bridge count...since the maps are loaded individually we could just change out what map loads...

One of the things that has made us strong IS the fact that we offer every map. If it were up to me, I'd kill the rapefest known as Berlin. I detest that map from both sides. The only map we've ever pulled out of the rotation has been due to a glaring glitch/exploit that we even told EA about and still has not been addressed.

I hear your concerns, I'll discuss it with the rest of the high admins, but I seriously doubt it will be pulled from the rotation. Maybe later today, I'll move a different NS map into its place, but NS maps are still going to weed a lot of people out.
Voted keep. Just like I'll vote for any "let's get rid of X map" vote (usually x = Highway Tampa in BF2).

Personally, I think it's because those maps usually come in so late at night (I usually play late). When the servers are relatively low pop anyway then there is a NS map at say midnight, people who don't like the map will log for the night plus you lose the people who are to cheap to spend the $10 for NS.

Prime time Saturday night, when a NS map came up, server went from damn near full to damn near empty... It's not the timing, it's the map. It really hurts early in the evening. Prime and get 2 maps, and then *WHAM* NS comes up and the server goes dead again.

    Re: Seriously... Bridge at Rem.

I guess we could simply log with all the other people when the map comes up and stop trying to re-prime it? I hate going through all the work of getting it going only to have it bottom out a few maps later. If the server sits at empty after Bridge long enough maybe they will reconsider removing it? Maybe remove it on Conquest and leave it on Titan...then compare the overall numbers. If Conquest has consistently more people then the folks running Bridge there may be a clue. I love how everyone on here votes to keep it but when the map comes up there isn't the same number of people playing the map as there are voting to keep it. Maybe we aren't reaching the right people with this vote. We went from full to 4-5 on each side yet the vote here seems completely for keeping it. Doesn't seem logical.

    Frau observation here -

If you are not already a Brig General, what would removing NS maps do to you? Hmmmmm? Class? Class? Anyone?
