Iīll punish (4) Manno, Latinman, (2) Manno for anything at anytime. Other than that, I usually forgive everyone unless itīs blatant, stupid, careless.

    Re: strange

Because I have done some spectacularly stupid things myself (maybe one or two), I always forgive, unless I am certain the TK was intentional and might affect the outcome of the map if the weenis is allowed to roam free. In most cases, I don't think punishing really helps the team, morale, or points, or helps in most respects really. I believe if you get punished a certain number of times, you get kicked, but I don't know the number. Easier to tell an admin.

I get TK'd about four times a round on flags, by friendly arty, jets, or grenade spammers. This is because I pathologically run around trying to cap flags. I realize they are not trying to prevent the team from capping the flag, so why punish?

Who hasn't had a grenade hit something and bounce somewhere unexpected? Shot a suspicious looking sniper? Gotten really confused on Mashtuur about which gas station you are at and knifed your own commander? (OK - I haven't done that one either that I will admit to openly, but I have blown up my own UAV).

It really does piss me off when a squadmate punishes. Early on in my TTP experience I was in Elk's squad when someone in the squad punished him for a TK on Karkand. Is there a way to record voice? The indignant stream of 'feedback' the guy received was quite entertaining (as it was not directed at me).

    Re: strange

Other day I had a gentleman TK me. I forgave, it was understandable mistake.

Same guy rolled up later to a flag our team held in a building and shot me from 15 feet away with the main gun on the tank.

I forgave him again. Accidents happen.

A medic ressed me and he shot the main cannon again, killing us both.

I did not forgive him the 3rd time.

budday that is probably the funniest thing I've read in my experience here at TTP. Thanks for making my day.

Forgive me for asking...but when you do punish someone for a TK....what exactly happens?

I know I always click do not punish, simply because I'm aware accidents happen a-plenty.

    Re: strange

The server will kick after a certain number of PUNISHED TKs. Also, if someone is intentionally TKing punishing will make a note of it in the logs for the admins to find later.

Enough punishes in one round results in a kick. At least that is what I think happens... other than that it does nothing, you already lost points for the TK!

I think it makes their score even more negative.

And either with enough punishes or a negative amount score, you get kicked.

It does not effect the negative points, I am almost positive after carefully checking a few times.

    Re: strange

I do punish for team kills, but only the kind that kill our entire squad while making a move on the Airfield at Wake.

I get punished on occasion, and it's usually a wake up call for me, telling me that Hey, I should have been more careful.

The punishes I don't like are the ones I have less control over, LAND MINES AND CLAYMORES; but even those teach me a thing or two about better placement.

Noobs punish cause their just unaware of any type of mutual understanding on the battlefield.

You'll never see me punish if a squad mate were to accidentally kill me during the heat of the battle, as that's E-war. My only question would be, "Did you get the enemy bastard too?".
