Re: Game Crashes
My game crashes after about 2-3 hours of continous BF2 play...crash is not the proper term, it's more lie the game gets jerky like I am lagging but my ping is still in the 40's. I cannot just rejoin the game. I have to restart my computer to get it to run right. It acts like the memory gets full or something. Very frustrating. I think it is a master server issue. Maybe someone will respond with a solution.

Re: Game Crashes
O wow, that really sucks, im glad my problem isnt that serious..
Your problem sounds like a computer overheat or something.. my friend had a problem similar to that one because heh ad some serious hardware in his system with a poor cooling unit for his cpu so everytime we played games together after 45 mins at the minimum his computer would crash.
But yes, if anybody has any answers to the problems Ballsyone and myself are having, feel free to post.

Re: Game Crashes
Are you sure it's not a heating problem on your end? Sounds like you've ruled it out, but how do you know? Monitors? Temp Gauges?
I've seen Vcards fans crap out and cause nearly the exact same things. Temps are fine for a while then "BAM", straight to the desktop. Check visually to make sure it's spinning.
Hows your connection? Sometimes an abrupt disconnect can cause a crash. In all reality with BF2 a lot of things can cause crashes but........ has your ISP gone a little sour? That can change and there's no indication on your end except the problems that it may cause. Are your speeds stable, not necessarily fast but stable? Check your upload at a good sight like BroadBand Reports. Test it several times in a row, make sure it's stable and doesn't vary greatly.
I'd sweep for spyware/adware. Sometimes when they log back info they screw things up. Or take up bandwidth and cause disconnects , that leading to a crash.
My first suspicioun with crashes after a while is heat. The other is power. Can you switch out your power supply for another one and see what happens. Vcard too?
Do other games run fine or do you experience the same thing with them? If it's only BF2 then maybe it's BF2. Sounds simple, but a reinstall and repatch might solve it.
Have you recently installed a program that might be trying to update or "run". I know AdobeAcrobat reader, every time that damn thing updates, it turn auto-update back on. That's screwed me up a few times with lag problems.
Your RAM's lacking in the volume department, BF2 loves 2048 rather then 1024. But if you've had BF2 running much better before then that's probably not it.
Have you done a MEMTEST on the RAM?
Anything get jarred loose in your case? Have you moved it recently, gone to a L.A.N party for instance? Check and maker sure all the cards, RAM, and power connections are seated properly. Sometimes it's a basic "mechanical" problem with a PC, that get's overlooked.
Just firing stuff off the top of my head........Good Luck.
