BF2 SF/Ranked Migration information
In order to provide a singular thread to get current information, and provide relevant feedback on performance, this thread is going to be stickied. This thread is not to be used for idle chatter.
Please use it to track progress on the BF2 Server migration status. Once we get all issues worked out, the sticky is going to be locked.
If you need to post problems, please provide screen shots and or traceroutes to help us help you.
High ping /Punkbuster kicking you/ Time frame for migration questions/
Any other things that pertain to issues that have come about since standing up the Top5 and modifying the hosting of the BF2 Ranked.
New threads and jacked threads regarding the migration will be locked. Believe me when I say the highs are quite aware of the issues and are working on it.
Nobody wants problems on the server(s) we have come to know and love, and nobody is taking the problems lightly.
BF2 Top5 = 206.123.95.74
BF2 Ranked = 72.232.220.90
This will be bumped with current information any time this changes.
Thank you for your patience.

Re: BF2 Top5/Ranked Migration information
While priming the vanilla server yesterday,(Nov. 30)it seemed like we would get to about 15 players per side (20-30ish total)and we would get the mass disconnect. Boom...10(or so) players gone all at once. They would slowly migrate back in in the next 1/2 hour or so,but the disco would strike again. I'm not sure if this is punkbuster related,or a server issue, but it doesn't seem to happen nearly as often on the Top5. We had it up and rolling for a few hours yesterday, but with these mass discos going on,there was no way we would have ever filled it up.
Is there any way to check the logs and see why these people were being discod?

Vanilla Gone Wild!!
Today while priming Vanilla the Oman map started over 3 times and every time it was the same issue. There would be 2 to 4 huge lag spikes during the rounds that would last anywhere between 30 seconds to a minute in length and then there would be widesweeping disconnects and the map would start all over again. I caught the following screenshots just prior to the disconnect on my last attempt to prime Vanilla today (my 4th attempted round).

Re: BF2 Top5/Ranked Migration information
Whats the latest with the mass disconnects? It seems that on every map, anywhere from 5-15 people are disconnected near the begining, all at once. I was disco'd 5 times in less than 4 hours last night. Either a loss of connection, packet flow,or unmodified content were the messages every time. I have done all the trick fixes, and have gone so far as to uninstall and reinstall the game.Fact is,it isnt client side.It is happening to too many people, all at once. The servers will never stay full until this gets figured out. You can watch,at the begining of each map(or within 2 minutes or so),and anywhere from 5-15 people get disco'd.

Do you big heads know about this? Is there a way to see the mass disconnects in the server logs? Are other BF2 communitys having the same problems?
If the problem is on TTPs side of things,it really needs to be adressed. If the problem is on EA/DICE/Gamespy/Punkbusters side of things, they need to get it fixed,or it will be the end of BF2.
