Yes, the airpower is huge, but there is also a ton of AA to use, so it kinda is not too bad. I played a bunch of maps today online and it was great. I was talking to Festus today too and he and I both agree that we would love to see a TTP AIX server. There are lots of new toys and new upgrades to old toys like tanks. They have 2 kinds of tank shells now HE and KE, which is cool because they do some damage to other tanks. Also the kits have different weapons, like silenced guns and throwing knives, AT kits have mines and Engies have C4, Assalt have gaymores, ect... Hell of a mod. :9

Yes, i agree we definitely need a TTP aix server. i vote that we get rid of the TOP5 server and replace it with that. All the top5 server is doing is ruining the vanilla one anyway.

Still way too much air power. It makes ground pounding a joke. It's fun to play with the toys, but try playing a real round with a full server. I was playing this morning with 45 people on and it was just bombs and missiles everywhere. You would get a flag neutral and then have 2 A-10's spray the flag and hit everyone around.

Did anyone try the hand held stingers when you were playin they work quite well especially if two or more have them :9

There's much more deterrents to air power in AIX, all thats required is some teamplay and common sense

There are maps with 3 planes per side. There are fire and forget bombs that can be dropped from high altitude (above the AA).

Even with the airpower, with seems to be most of the peoples problems here, alittle teamwork can take can of the problem pretty quick. At one point I think we had maybe 1 plane in the air against all of thiers, and Festus and I jumped in a transport chopper and flew over to thier main. By then 1 more guy joined the squad and spawned in, the 2 of them bailed and yes, they both got killed once or twice while trying but still pretty quickly capped thier main and I jumped in a jet which spawned there and shot almost all there planes down. Of course, they then bailed at ours and got more planes but we still ended up winning. With alittle teamwork, it is nowhere near as bad as everyone is saying that think the air is overpowered.

there are pickup kits with portable stingers, it greatly helps to neutralize the air power. also, those fire and forget missiles, if you dont have a lock or your target gets killed earlier, they go lock onto friendlies and get you massive teamkills.

there are also i/o servers for AIX 2.0 which with the higher accuracy and lower recoil of the guns in AIX, and spawn camping, it gets very messy, either that or the server i was playing on was full of people with aimbots.
