BF2 practice server

from time to time, it's likely, just as TTP II instances for CSS and DoDS have doubled as match servers.

however, it is not being created for clans. It's being created for players and teams.

The only time it will be passworded would be for a clan match, I suppose. But we'll have to look into how those configs match with what we'd like to provide for a practice server (fulls size maps, limited rotation, etc).

I'm all for it! Give me an opportunity to learn while not making a COMPLETE ASS of myself while trying. Besides, if you have the server capacity and it won't interfere, a match server FOR HIRE might help bring some revenue into TTP (just a though y'all... don't stone me for making a suggestion).

we have match servers for use, and should a match be required of a resident clan, either official or for scrimmages, we will provide one, free of charge (at least for now).

we've been doing it in CS and DoD for months.

I definately wouldn't complain about a practice server - at the very least it would give us a proper response to those players who say "hold on, I'm just getting the hang of this" instead of the typical off the top response.

Lol NyQuil... you have a point there. BF2U!!! The server could be password protected during certain periods to keep non ttp out. The password would be available on the forum under a topic called something like "Learn to play BF2" along with a schedule of what was going to be taught at certain times. We could have a "PRO PLAYER" on either side... teaching whatever the topic was...

That is just me thinking out loud though... nice idea bigdog
