The ziplines were freaking amazing, I hope those and the grappel hooks come back in 2142. So FRIGGIN amazing.

I think any BF2142 player would get slaughtered now. We're so used to having APCs and Pods. Anyone who got into a jet with me was certain to die in BF2.

The style of play is different too. In BF2, it seems to be much more important to go prone before firing, and the guns seem to be more deadly, where only a few bullets will kill you pretty quickly.

Also, the lack of active defense on vehicles would kick us in the ass.

It is a totally different style of play, this is true, and the prone before shooting thing has always been a pain in the ass....and the lack of infantry sonars or active defense abilities can certainly be a disadvantage. But the biggest one for me, when i venture into that world, is that SPACE isn't parachute.

But its a very refreshing change.

haha I remember that when I went from bf2 to 2142. I kept pressing P for a good long while.

I finally re-installed bf2 a few months back and was in an APC and saw a rocket coming for me. I pressed X like it was going to do something for me. Totally forgot how to play.

The active shields in vehicles and the parachute key are the two biggest adjustments I have to make when going back to BF2. To be honest, crouching to fire works well enough in BF2 that I don't find myself proning like I used to. 2142 broke me of that bad habit.

LOL. My first character on 2142 (from BF2) had so many deaths because of failed parachute opening.

And going from 2142 to BF2, I sure wish I had my pilum.
