2142 update coming!

A new 2142 update is coming. It's mainly a security fix (tied to the fixes implemented in the upcoming BF2 1.5 patch.) In addition, a new map will be included. Details and screenshots can be found here:

Interesting considering 2142 is the only Battlefield game that doesn't include boats... I guess it will be a dry version of the map? If we all had to go to air vehicles to get over there, people would just have whole squads waiting with SAAWs.

In the 2142 version of the map the water will (obviously) be frozen, making the high amount of vehicles necessary to navigate the great distance between the European Union uncap and the Pan Asian Coalition's flags.

The map is designed to be intense but still huge, much like Karkand but in a Chinese setting. As the BF2 1.5 patch beta won’t be out until early next year and the 2142 1.51 patch will arrive after that, we still have a little bit of waiting to do. Having seen the new maps, however, I know it’ll be worth the extra time to put on the finishing touches.

From the site Wile provided. Sounds like we will be slipping and sliding our way across in some FAV's.... WooT!

It's going to be awsome, sitting there waiting for the mass horde of vehicals coming in!
