If you see this squad on the server, I will usually be leading it. I would like to thank all of those that played this evening, we had some awesome teamwork in our squad. I'd like to mention that our squad was a major factor on Op. Barracuda {and was also a major factor on Muttrah}, please don't discuss that tactic we used (on Op. Barracuda) on the regular boards. I would like to keep that tactic in the repertoire. It might come in handy sometime. I don't want everyone else on the server knowing about it.

(my apologies man, I couldn't find the damn screenshot; it didn't save to remind my old mind who was in there tonight)

Each and every one of these guys was excellent to work with. Followed orders, even when those orders seemed crazy or boring. I'd like to especially thank our insertion/extraction pilot on Op. Barracuda. The willingness of squad members to await on the Humvee to spawn or to suicide just so we could change our plan of attack. The ability to fall back and regroup as a squad before pressing the attack. I honestly believe that is what Won Barracuda for us. Final Score 7-0 USMC.

I think I was in there for the first part...

Glad the USMC ended up winning even though it seemed like it couldn't hold swamp for any length of time.

Ah, yes the Muttrah match was nice. Since we were the only ones really doing anything :P Very good leadership Bravo, I knew once I joined that squad we would give the US one heck of a time. I remember shooting down the cobra with a mobile AA rocket between 3 buildings FROM THE MAIN ROAD all the way to the back mountains (lawl talon i'll hop back in the gunners seat someday :P ).

There should have been no reason we lost Muttrah, once we had y'all backed up to the Docks and then shoved on the Carrier. Our team was so worthless, the only reason we managed to keep from being pushed all the way back to the main, was the simple fact that our squad knew what the hell they were doing. Too bad for us, that the rest of the team was somewhere at the MAIN Fortress just standing around waving their middle fingers in the air to the rest of the team and the other half was somewhere in DEEP Space 9 at the docks with their weapons on the ground crying for some unknown fucking reason, when they should have been on the N. City defending the hell out of it. Simply put, it's disheartening to have a team that doesn't know what an FO is or how to spawn on it. As a squad leader, all I can do for our team is to make damn sure our Squad is where it needs to be and doing what needs to be done. We practically walked every where and were still more effective than the Chopper Boys or the ones that waited for Vehicles instead of making ground tactical movements.

Hell, you guys would cringe to know what we did to get past you on Op. Barracuda. Our squad was the spearhead when our team was still standing on the fucking carrier when they got ran out of Swamp. We traversed the Island on foot and still managed to make better time and decisions than the ones standing on the carrier with their pants down around their ankles.

Yup, I remember when we lost swamp it was all about bitching on the carrier that someone was hitting the hueys with AA from the island. I kept posting "Spawn at the FOB if you die!" and nobody would because they evidently wanted to be cool spec ops style and drop in from a helo. Meanwhile we walked all the way across the island and they hadn't gotten a huey to the island intact....

Then my son woke up and I had to log. Glad you guys turned it around and if you want the full effect of PR then stick with 11Bravo. I was really glad Drax from =PHX= had you as a sqd leader for one of his first times playing PR, its that kind of experience that keeps folks playing.

To best understand I'll help. The US Army uses call signs {MOS} to designate your specialty. When I signed up it was called; 11B, 11Bravo, or 11BangBang. 11B, is a hardcore infantryman who goes on to Airborne School, Air Assault, & Ranger School. Pathfinders are part of a Ranger Unit. This was back in the early 90's, who knows they may have changed the MOS now, or even done away with certain MOS's. I've been out of the loop for quite some time. Things change.

If you are interested in the history then research Rogers's Rangers or even watch the movie 'Northwest Passage' with Spencer Tracy and Robert Young. It is the basis for how the Army Ranger came about. They have been around since before the Revolution. They have been in pretty much every war or conflict that the U.S. has been involved in.
