Thread: start pr without cd

I had used dameon tools to set up for starting pr without the BF2 cd. Now since the new pr 085 I cannot start pr withouit cd. I get this error

UNABLE TO MOUNT IMAGE FILE NOT ACCESIBLE.
WAs wondering why my BF2 image changed .
I am also experiencing bad lag with the new mod.Old mod worked fine. Is this my problem or the new servers

not sure about the "image" question can't help ya there...



the lag issue seems like a bit of both...client and server...lots of server crashes.

what is your texture setting at?...medium setting seems to improve the lag issue..(for some)

Where can i get a mirror image og bf2 for dameaon tools so that I can mount the image and not need to use my cd when I want tp play bf2

Are you talking about the loading splash screen?

If so theres a PR one in this page here which ALSO includes the vanilla screen in the download able file:

Instructions :

- In your BF2 installation directory, there's a file called: 00000000.256
- Rename that file, so you have a backup (=vanilla splash screen)
- Rename your PR .bmp file to 00000000.256

Open Daemon tools and make sure it's still pointing to the right file. All I can think of Mine works fine.

No-CD Cracks are perfectly legal.

To get around a CD check yes, but if they circumvent copy-protection then it is illegal.

Since BF2 has copy-protection a no-cd crack is illegal.

So using Daemon Tools to create a backup image that you mount so that you don't have to put the DVD in each time is legal. Using a No-CD crack to remove the copy protection from the BF2.exe is illegal.
