PR Top 5 or PR Non-Insurgency...any chance of a server?

Question has come around many times and im yet to get an answer from PR regs that doesn't involve "i hate insurgency maps" somwhere in their response.

So could someone inform me if possibly there's a chance for a non-insurgency map PR server? Insurgency kills the server in my opinion and the action is so slow its no fun which is why it seems to drop people fairly quick. Im not at all an armor whore (even though im damn good with kraker as my gunner) but the action of the regular maps seems to be unmatched by insurgency.

two different types of fun.....

i like all INS map while i hate a lot of non INS maps

a well oiled INS squad can reek havoc and have a blast doing it.

i think it would be cool to have non INS server and a INS server...

but that is just me.

I would support it, but the real question is, even though we get a full server almost every night now, will we be able to keep two servers populated?

I think that we need to make the rotation go in sets of two for the INS maps (but NOT the same map twice), since the teams get switched each time.  Two INS maps, then two nonINS maps, that way people can play on their preferred team at least once and not end up feeling like quitting really quick because they don't like being stuck with the team they dont like each new map.  I know, this is something I experience quite a lot.

I don't see how we could support priming both servers when we give it our all to keep the full rotation server primed up and rolling.

I don't see much sucess for this and I think playing the same 5 maps over and over would die out pretty fast in Project Reality.

I agree with commander, it already takes 2hrs to finish a map and at the end of it I want something new.

Right, same server, but maybe instead of ins>ins>ins maps do ins>reg>reg>ins so the same team isnt always insurgants. or ins>ins> reg>reg> ins>ins> reg>reg...

Yea, the first 6 maps are inf only, and most of the time we dont get to a tank map or something like that. It would be nice if there was a flying/tank map so people like me and snake could get a chance to drive/fly.

The maps are being tested for which ones hold the connections of players and which ones dont. Once the "favorites" and not so "favorites" are determined the maplist will be adjusted accordingly.

Exactly.... and Al Basrah has just been removed for stability issues. Nothing pisses me off more to see the PR server at 60 players and then look again and it is at the starting map with 4 players.

We are on it guys.... I can assure you of that.

I like insurgency maps as well, but it seems that sometimes folks dont 'get' insurgency maps as much as the standard AAS maps. Some folks do not like them since if they are the insurgents they are regulated to defending something that is not a flag with weapons that are inferior. Some folks don't like the whole cache system.

I think that as long as the insurgent maps are dispersed throughout the maplist then it will be fine since folks that hate insurgency can stand playing through one, but often log off if they know it is going to be two back-to-back.
