Thread: I finally bought it

Well, I finally bought BF2 and just have a few questions. Number 1, does the TTP server run the original bf2 or does it use the x-pack? Number 2, I had the bf2 demo, and had mic trouble on it. The demo picked up sound, but would not transmit to my headphones or anyone elses. I now have the actual game, and it isnt even picking up any sound at all, anyone know a solution to this. And lastly number 3, I've tried dl'ing the update/patch for BF2 (since it tells me I have an older version when i try to connect to TTP) to no avail. I finally got it dl'ed, but when i clicked on the icon....nothing happend. Does anyone have a good link for the patch?

try going into your programs and open it from there.....there should not be an audio problem....we are using the bf2 with a 1.4 patch....

Ha, I just got back from my Intermediate Accounting III class, so I havent gotten to try it out yet. The name "rock lobster" was taken....and any variation thereof. So my name in game will be Sgt.Crews. Is there anyway to change your name in game or is the one you set for your account your permanent handle?

its perm. reminds me, 2nd thing i dislike about bf2 (aside from patch problems :P )...

1. inability to record personal, 1st person demos.

2. inability to change your name at will.

bah. oh well. :P

I tell you what, I live for the day I buy a game, install it, and actually have it work properly. I have downloaded the patch TWICE and IT WILL NOT OPEN WHEN I CLICK ON IT!!!! Anyone have a solution to this?

Did you download the 1.4 cumulative or 1.3 to 1.4 incremental? You need the 1.4 cumulative (big file)
