I tired Install -> 1.4 -> NS -> 1.5 No dice so I tried Install -> 1.4 -> NS -> 1.5 -> NS No dice.

I get ALL the way to map loaded and I get abou 1.5 seconds to try and join a squad and it kicks me due to non-standard version or some BS.

Your problem is the last thing you have to install is the 1.5 patch. By installing Northern Strike after 1.5, you've effectively overwritten files from the 1.5 patch which will give you an error every time.

XP won't install SP3 until you have at least SP2 installed.

IE7 won't install till you have at least SP2 I'm guessing, it won't install with just base XP.

SP2 already downloaded and installed. SP3 installing now. So many drivers still to go..... ::::: sigh :::::

you should have bought a new OS disk with your build.

SP3'd and ready to go....probably less than 1 or 2 restarts for windows update.

worth it, especially since old SP1 and SP2 disks don't load a lot of SATA/modern drivers, requiring boot disks and other 3.5" bullshit.
