LMAO Must be missing it alot since it only happened twice compared to...how many times have a knifed you? Before AND after you were in VTRX :P

Make sure you stop your antivirus/firewall when gaming. I've seen plenty of times where someone has punkbuster completely setup and updated and it's their antivirus/firewall blocking the connection.

AMD Fusion has a pretty neat utility that stops all unnecessary processes & services (including antivirus, firewall, etc) and then can start them all back up again.

I'd like to say it works on non-AMD platforms... worth a shot.

Your problem is the last thing you have to install is the 1.5 patch. By installing Northern Strike after 1.5, you've effectively overwritten files from the 1.5 patch which will give you an error every time.

I think you misread what I wrote poorly
I tired...
Install -> 1.4 -> NS -> 1.5 <-- that let me play everything but NS maps so I then tried
Install -> 1.4 -> NS -> 1.5 -> NS <-- that let me play everything but NS maps ALSO.

HOWEVER I just read the sticky and now see where I screwed up

Install -> NS -> 1.4 -> NS -> 1.5

So much for doing it from memory... I KNEW it was screwy
