Password the Server?!?!?

with recent activities of some people on all PR servers.....screwing around and causing mass CTDs...

why not slap a password on the server until this is sorted out by the PR staff?

it's not doing any good having the server empty all weekend/weekday...

this way people with have to be registered on the forums to find out how to get the password...

seems to be working well for the other servers doing this.

no ...people who want to play can take the time to sign up here at TTP and figure out how they can get the password..

better than having a empty server 22 hours out of the day.

People who just got the game aren't going to want to go in-game, only to find out the server they played on and enjoyed yesterday is now passworded. How would they know to come to the site?

until the PR crew finish the fix, i don't see any other way of preventing the server being fucked with other than my suggestion.

Whats the problem? is it a known set of actions that the admin can watch for? Feel free to PM Commander, Nuckle, CivilWars, w4jchosen, or myself if you have specifics.

To be honest how many people would actually take the time to come to the forums just to play on our sever....something similar came up the CSS forums a while ago and it was laughed down.

If it came to voting for this I would say no.

People come on and purposely crash the server, via UAV hack and spamming something idk. But it happens a lot and mostly it's caused by kids. Passwording the server will bring out a teamplay aspect with in the TTP PR community, instead of random pubbers running around and crashing the server you got regulars enjoying a fun game with everyone and possibly on mumble actually doing some teamwork. no?
