CS:S vs. BF2 Round II

So, now it's our turn to wax that ass in our domain.

When do ya'll want to do the CS:S match? I guess I will be in charge of setting all the CS:S stuff up.

April 5th sound good? Too soon? What about the 12th? Both are Sundays. 8PM CST?

We will do the traditional X amount of rounds then switch sides. Then who ever has the most rounds won at the end, wins.

After we get done figuring out which date we want, we will discuss maps. My guesses would either be De_Dust2, De_Piranesi, or De_Cbble.

voted for the 12th, 3 weeks away. Give those some time who have NEVER played to figure it out. Let's hope they spend their time more wisely than we spent ours!

Also, to all you BF2ers....I'm going to be giving a little private run-through on the basics of CS:S with dustyCaliber, so if any of you guys want to hop in on that, coordinate with Dusty when you guys want to do it. Team Evolution has enough guys, we should be able to accomodate you guys at just about any time. We can only take care of 9 people at a time, as it's a 10-slot server.

I'd say the 12th or the 19th to give people time to get the game and get some practice in like they did for us.

I have a gift of HL2 on Steam, which should give you access to CS:S I believe if anyone wants it. Or even if they don't, I still have that extra one of HL2 at least if anyone is interested, let me know.

I'd not say Cbble as it is a pretty CT sided map and would be harder for them I think to get the rushes down right on T side.

Dust2 would be the best bet as it is fairly even on both sides.

Do we want to do just the DE stock maps then? I can think of a few other maps that we might be able to play, or some good CS maps like Office or Italy. The maps have their advantages and disadvantages as well, but they still might be easier to learn since they are some of the classic CS maps.
