I don't know if its posted on the forum, theres a good chance it is but i know you can learn the rotation via map vote. If you don't know how to do that you hold down tab and right click. You move to the top of ur screen and there will be a map vote tab with a down arrow. Click that, keep holding tab, and you can see the order of all the maps.

Warf, since you are lazy and don't want to log into the server, here you go. However, you have to leave this website.

    http://www.bf2players.net/query/72.2...0:29901#result

You will see current map and then upcoming maps.

Since this a topic on the map rotation I figured I'd ask this in here. I was just on TTP when highway tampa loaded in. As usual the population did drop to about half of what it was. Just as the timer was about to run out and game play start the map gets switched. I did not see a vote and wonder if this was an Admins doing? The reason I ask is I thought TTP was a full rotation server. If we are going to skip Tampa, what stops us from saying " I don't like Cleansweep, or Wake Island let's skip those."?

I personally think the difference is, 60 players on Cleansweep and wake and only 20-30 players on Tampa. Just thinking out loud. They don't clean out the server, Tampa does. Of course I'm one of those anti-tampa activist.

True, but what's bothering me about this is that there was no map vote. Had the majority of the server willed it then I would have no problem. Yes the server went from nearly full to half, but those half still were going to play. If not they would have DCed. And everytime it empties like that, by the end of the rounds we are back to full.

Would you say that any of the remaining people would not have voted to switch maps? Any additional player wishing to switch maps would constitute the majority, since the first half voted by leaving the server. Some people have voting disabled. (If only it was like CS:S, where admins can call a vote and immediately enact the result..) But this is all academic .. does it really bother you? Mapvotes (any votes, really) are slow and cannot account for all players. Admins are not infallible but I promise you they have the best interests of the server at heart.

TTP is a full rotation server. If the argument that people vote for a map change by disconnecting had any weight, we would not have Highway Tampa in the rotation. But it has been covered up and down to death and beyond. Highway Tampa is still in the rotation.

I like Highway Tampa. I would hate to be denied the pleasure of playing that map, because an admin thinks people vote for a map change by leaving the server.

In my experience, most of the regs stay, and pubbers go. To me that says the majority of dc's on Tampa are from people not having the map. Not because it is so detested that 95% of the players in the world just can't stand a second of it.

Now Clean Sweep, there is a map that has to go.

Yes it was an admin that did it. We will discuss it. I will say, however, that when (especially later in the evening around 10:30 to 11:00 est) Tampa usually rolls up the admins have bypassed it because the later it gets when the server population gets cut in half it generally will not build back up. This is due to the fact that at best you are running 36 players at that point and two rounds takes at least 45 minutes, if not an hour. Putting it at a point where if you would have bypassed it, the server would remain stronger longer.
