some hot mic action
so now that I have registered...I figure I need to spam to get known! ok ok just kidding
Seriously though, I need to get a mic for my rig...it just doesn't seem fair to make your squad/team mates read what you are typing...there is just no time for that. So, before I start looking around, I was curious if anyone had any good recommendations. What I would like is a mic that would attach to my ear, that does not have ear phones...I like my sound so I just want the mic...do these even exist? Any help would be awesome! Thanks!

EDIT: I apologize if I posted this in the wrong spot...but I could not find any other place for this. Thanks!

RE: some hot mic action
yes go to Wal-Mart and get you a Logitech.....You can get one without headphones or with Headphones......I have used both and with Headphones, you can hear somebody walking up on your 6.....It pinpoints the sound,,,,,,Without headphones, you can hear it but cannot tell which way and where.......Stereo headphones in my opinion are the only way to go...... Just like cop91 said....I have been using logitech since 1995 and they indeed do what I need them to do and thats real-time sound.....hope this helps you....... btw, $20 bucks.....

RE: some hot mic action
Have bought some of these open air headsets for our little group, and they not only provide stereo sound, and good mic, but also the open air keeps my ears from sweating...

RE: Re:
I got a cheap Logitech headset with microphone, but the headphones were very poor quality. Now I just wear that around my neck and use my nicer headphones. I'd say using headphones is an absolute necessity - it's incredibly valuable to be able to pinpoint footsteps, gunfire, or the tinkling of a flash grenade.
