Thread: So you think you can play BF2?

Hey guys and gals,

So you're saying to yourself, "Yeah I can play BF2! What does this *@&$!!$^&@% know?" Well maybe you're right or maybe you haven't even scratched the surface.
How many times have you been on another server, joined a squad and then used your mic to communicate with your squadleader and BLAM! There's dead silence on the other end. Has that ever happened to you? If you are shaking your head yes you have just found out that the SL doesn't know how to play BF2.

Let me give you another common mistake made by people who don't know how to play BF2. Have you ever been in a squad or a SL and you have a six man squad, you spawn green and BLAM! You notice that only you are spawning on green and the other 4 jackasses have decided they are far too better a player by being on the furthest most opposite corner of the map from the SL! Don't fret, you have just found four freaking idiots that do not have even the slightest clue of how to play BF2!

Or how many times have you joined this server, tried to make a squad and BLAM! All the squads have been created and come to find 6 of the 9 squads are one man squads. Idiots!!!!! Congratulations are in order, you've just found 6 morons that have no clue how to play this game.

TTP prides itself on teamplay and voice communication. If you don't create/join a squad you get kicked. So some players have got the idea that this is CS and don't want to get kicked so they join a squad and never spawn green. This is totally against what separates BF2 from every other FPS out there. Yeah, if you're in my squad, one could complain that spawning green is a death sentence. I know this to be true only because of the amount of the bombs/arty that has been dropped on my head as well as my squad members heads. If you command, you know my squad (RICO) and you know we get it done! I'll tell you this, MY squad is the top squad EVERY FREAKING MAP!!!!!

Listen, the only way you get through life is by helping or being helped by other people. I wrote this too help you. If you don't know how to play BF2, get help from good SL's or join popular squads. If you haven't figured out the good SL's just look who gets top squad every map. Next, you need to go to your favorite computer store spend $15 and buy a mic. It will totally change the way you think and feel about the game. Oh yeah SPAWN GREEN you idiot!!!! A SL is only as good as his/her squadmembers.

Now before I get hosed by all the jet/helo whores that normally regulate this server, I have a rebuttal already typed up so please do not respond. Its OK for jet pilots to be in your squad, if piloted properly they are very useful. Helo pilots on the other hand are continuously looking for the enemy chopper and talk amongst themselves and and can often screw up the commutation between the SL and the rest of the squad. Helo pilots and gunners need to make their own squad and call it chopper or helo.

Try to find out which squadleaders are serious, which SL's have fun, and which SL's never groundpound. Pick an SL that best fits your temperament. If you don't like any of the SL's, congratulations you've just promoted yourself to SL. Now invite 5 players and try to lead your squad to victory. Remember actions speak louder than words, so your squadmembers need to know they can count on you. Lead them to victory and they will follow you through a nasty gunfight or over AT mines.

Well my friends, I hope you have learned a thing or two. If you need more advice join RICO squad and learn my methods. And remember I'm only as good as my squadmembers.

I think you should get a profit of all mic sales, you seem to promote them quite well all the time.

I would say the only problem with this article is it will not reach those who should read it, but lots of good tidbits for those non-teamplayers.
