Thread: A Quick Hello!

So after having some good games on the TTP server I decided to check out the heavily promoted forums. I visited as a guest a week ago but just got the chance to register, as well as read the necessary stickies.

It seems like you all have a good thing going here. The admin culture seems to be mature, and you all have been very nice online. I've enjoyed playing with members of 5th particularly, although I'm sure I've enjoyed games with other members of this forum and did not realize they were affiliated with TTP.

A little about me: I'm 24, I live in Houston and I work at a software company where I handle network and server administration as well as some VB related programming. I'm very active and enjoy lifting and anything related to nutrition and sports medicine. I have been gaming most of my life. The best game I ever played was Tribes: Aerial Assault for the PS2. It had an online mode and I played with an external dialup modem. The thing that made me play that game for almost three years was by far the community. It probably had 1000 regular players at the most. But the forums as well as tight knit clans and tourneys made it a blast.

I've always looked for another community and experience like that in a game... I haven't found it again yet, but I like what I see here for sure.
I'm not the most skilled twitch player as I tend to do better in support roles. Right now I am just learning the gameplay mechanics and getting my unlocks. I enjoy playing as the commander, and I would like to become proficient in that role in the future.
