Lock your squads

I hope you realize you are not among the elite...

I can fully understand that you want to play wit your friends / superstars on the server, but when you lock your squad you are disabling the newer people on the server who may have some great potential from becoming a true teamplayer.h

On top of all that you squad lockers are the first to complain when there is no teamwork.

Maybe next time you will create a squad and teach some new people how to lead the correct way instead of being uber leet and locking your fucking squad.

While there isn't a rule against it, it is irritating.

My personal view is that it doesn't promote team play and goes against the spirit of TTP. That said, some good arguments have been made for it, typically resouce squads.

Best defense is do your own squad and allow newcomers to join at will.

I think most of the people who lock their squads, that your refering to, don't visit the forums.

They should have reversed locking, where I can trap people in my squad and make them do my bidding 24/7.

I am OK with pilot's locking their squads. If Xav and his gunner are riding the War Donkey, by all means they should lock their squad.

Seriously though I detest squad locking outside of asset control (pilots, etc.).

Give us your noobs, your non-regs and your lonewolf snipers. We will make team players out of them yet.

"Throws in Snippet were the noobs, non-regs, and lonewolf Snipers have to know all the TTP Founders by heart, the banned forum procedures, and each forums moderators. On top of that we can only let "X" amount of non-teamplayers on the server each year.

What? How did I get mixed up in this? I never lock my squad if I'm squadleading...not even if I'm flying...and if my squad fills up while I'm flying I tell them either:
1. this is an air squad, you can stay if you want, but won't be able to spawn on green (I keep being SL because of commander markers). or
2. Ok guys, since the squad filled up, everyone suicide, I'm bailing on the most imp. enemy flag on the map (i.e. airfields, refinery, intake, et etc).

That being said, I don't mind people that lock their squads to play with their friends....IT IS A GAME....WE ARE HERE TO ENJOY IT (OF COURSE BY THE RULES OF THE SERVER), but it's still a game, and it's still not illegal to lock one's squad if one chooses to do so.

Sometimes you just feel like playing with friends, people you know, or people you need in the squad for a specific mission. It's just the way it is...don't feel excluded or think it's because that person feels he/she is uber leet. Nonsense.

It's the same thing as "making room for a buddy" and kicking a non reg from one's squad, which many many many people do, and they are all team players.
