    Fuck. I hate Digital Anarchy.
I was banned from there servers right in the begining from "using the admin's aircraft"

I miss that name. Thanks for the blast from the past!

Most people either stick with 2 or 2142 in this community, so I will assume that there are only a few admins that play both regularly. Therefore the 2142 community does not use this rule as they are not familiar with it.

Still, though the few that do are Civil, BD, Chosen, etc. hence my questions. Those are not just any admins. So, why the difference in rules?

I think the other rules need to be enforced also. I command a bit as a matter of fact I was commanding last night and I had asked a SL to go back to Farm and he kept going away from it. I typed it out in ALL CHAT and still nothing. He got on the VIOP and told me "what does it matter we are winning". The enemy took farm and the game ended. I command a lot and I have been warned about being in a tank. Well that is why I end up in tank, apc etc.. as a commander. Losing as a commander is not the problem the problem for me is commanding renegade SL's.

Call out for an admin on those players... if you can't get in touch with an admin, jot his name down and take some screenshots then post in the problem player sticky.

As far as the rule being carried over into 2142, we don't have many issues with players that are actually commanding abandoning the commander seat there.

We also frown more heavily on locked squads in 2142 than they do here in BF2.. if you doubt me, look at the responses to shatter99's post about having a squad with him and his young son and askin about locking it as his wife doesn't want the son exposed to foul-mouthed gamers.

Frankly, if I see Shatter on there and his squad is locked and it's because he's playing with his son, then I'm fine with that. But look at other admin responses. Now look over here to the defensiveness of admins who lock their squads when Warprosper calls out a group of people who lock their squads (none of the group are the admin in question).

None of these games are clones of the other, even the BF games, and none of the admining is an exact clone either.

I don't like the rule. It prevents me from applying.

ENF "No warning has to be given for a ban. We ban first in game and ask questions later in the forum. "

Vafaskillz "I am finding no abuse here and bum...believe me....we do not need you or your money."

    Baahhhahahhahahah!!

    Why?

Re: Banning for leaving the Commander seat?

So how is this one enforced?

Is it done by the person observing CC?

    Or a squad member?

    Or squad leader?

    As nemo said
Am I a non-teamplayer if I say "We need boots on the ground that can accomplish something to get us out of this box," leave the commander seat, put together a squad, and go cap flags so that my team has a fighting chance?
If I give up my commander seat, inform the SL's that I'm doing this; start a squad and grab an APC to get from A to B and cap a high priority flag.............

Could I be banned by the person monitoring CC, watching my role change from CO to APC?

Disclaimer: I know this is in place to thwart off leaving the CO seat for personal gain, where personal gain is the acquiring and use of any assets cooler than a car. However, if this is being enforced, as a kickable/banable offense, I'd love to know the binding clauses in place so I know what I'm getting into when I apply.

To the best of my knowledge this will always be a judgement call in game. Communication will be a good start in ensuring you're not on the wrong side of a kick or ban.

This particular interpretation of the teamplay rule is not aimed at a teamplayer who realizes he can serve his teams cause much more effectively as a squadleader, or has to go feed his cat, and leaves the position. It is aimed at non teamplayers who leave their team high and dry for personal gain. I have never left the commander position myself for any other reason than punkbuster, and consider it a committment for the entire round.

So bottom line is as always on TTP, communication is key.

And please, a little trust in the admins. If the admins at TTP did not deserve any trust, you would not be playing here, would you?
