Thread: Noob needs help!!

Ive got everything to work now ...so ill see you guy's on the srv soon take it easy on me i played for a sec today and was confused as hell it is defiantly different from Counter strike...or any other FPS i have ever played...... :4

Well I believe you are speaking about BF2 since you are in the BF2 forums. I was a big CS player way before CS:S came out. I played BF2 because it was mor realistic and you actually had to work harder to win...posted more of a challange for me.

Anyway here are a few pointers.

*Do not go off and play lone wolf even tho it's fun. Squad up with some of the regualr players and follow what the Squad Leader says. You will find out that defending a flag can be just as fun as attacking. No matter how bad you are skillwise people will see that you are a team player and that's what counts. Having a mic works also to communicate with people in your squad. You might also want to take a look around some of the resident clan forums for a few tips and tricks. {HRD}, [IRON], =PHX=...[SsT] are the people i see the most.


It will be hard to get noticed but if you play hard, show that you can be a team player people will notice you. Took me a long time to get people to take me seriously and get myself into {HRD}....I'm glad i listened about teamwork..

Squad up with any of the resident clan tags you see...{HRD},[IRON],=PHX=,[SsT]. Always spawn on green,and use your mic. Tell the people you squad up with that you are new...everyone here will be very happy to help,and answer any questions you have. As well,start as a medic...the M16 is a good weapon,and the health packs and shock paddles will help keep your squad alive and killin.

Is you Bf2 name the same as it is here in the forum?

Pointers:
Just like Zoran said, squad up with folks with those tags and you will get in the field training.

Be a medic, quick way to get points but its best to have the ability to heal your self when your starting out.

Train in vehicals, especialy jets and helis, on a LAN game or in the morning during server prime. You want have to worry about the team screaming at you for wrecking assest, also with prime time you are likely to run into somebody who will teach you how to use the vehicals.

BEST THING TO KNOW!!! tanks are weaker at the treads, aim and missel at it ass or at the treads.

Learn to love your gun, may folks find that will time they get a feel for the weapon they use more often, ie you know your kill radious in auto, you know when to switch to single shot, you know how fast you can bust as to let the crosshairs come back together, and so on.

If your squad is behind enemy lines and the squad leader is hiding while you go get the flag, don't shoot form his position and don't drop ammo and med bags to close to him, they put up a 3D map spot that says throw nade here.

When you get a break in a fight, check ammon, number of clips and rounds in the gun, anything below 1/3 of a full clip is worth throwing away because very few people run out of ammo on their main gun before dieing.

Most of the game you will be running, very few time do you need to move slow on an objective. Walking mainly turns you into an easy head shot for a sniper who know how to shoot ahead of you.

My personal fav. with the med kit, learn by heart, where you paddels key is also the one right next to it. You will recharge instantly after shocking by switching to your med bag then back to the paddels. Last night i watched three of my guys die, then charged down a engie at point blank range, killed him and managed to revive all three in side of 5 seconds after killing the guy.

Hybrid

You will do fine. Just let the SL know that you are new and they will help you. Try to squad with the resident clans though . We tend to take our time with the noobs .

1. Squad up
2. Spawn Green
3. Have fun
4. Ask questions
5. Communicate
6. Don't shoot from the SL's position
7. I would use medic or support since you don't have unlocks yet.


You are far from a Noob to TTP so do what you normally would do.

And when you see {HRD} Kelderos.....LOL...good luck. He will either knife you a countless amount of times or knife you and hide in a chopper and rape you even more.
