Thread: A comeback? 64-bit Windows 7 is killing me...

Ok Guys im thinking about making a BF2 comeback... I'm trying to get BF2 working with Windows 7 64-bit, but last time I tried I had a lot of issues. I'm going to try again and this time I'm going to ask for help. I'm sure someone in all of TTP has to have tried this and found a solution... so, what is it?

Give up, it doesn't work

split one of your partitions and quick format that new partition to support NTFS. Then do a search on the internet on how to make a dual boot going from Vista to XP or Win 7 to XP. Once you have accomplished that you can run BF2 on the XP instance bro. I have been running a triple boot for XP + Vista + 7 and it works just fine. If you keep having issues give me a call bro.

Hey all you naysayers, I got it on the first try. All I had to do was manually update punkbuster... I played for over an hour without problems.

I did find one thing out though, After not playing for almost a year... I SUCK!!! It's going to take a while for me to get back into top shape... Bravo I'm gonna need a refresher crash course... Lol I feel like a total NOOB!

I also have a dual boot of vista and windows 7.I cant get BF2 to work on 7 at all.But vista 64 runs like snot on a marble.

I was running windows 7 for a week or two a month or so ago and had no issues (except for normal PB kicks).. what about your setup isn't working? Last time I followed some steps like enabling the PB services to "interact with desktop"
