This is probably a stupid question, but what are you looking for in the clips? One of each weapon, how long do you want the videos? Do you care if there's any sound? Does it matter if it's during priming or do you want live action for the videos?

I use X-fire to record videos, which works fairly well. I do not know how to record sound, however.

As for tips/tricks, another stupid question, but what are you looking for exactly? Opinions on what weapon to use where, or which add on is more viable. A lot of tips are just general infantry play as well, is that alright for an assault guide?

Also, if you want to include weapon stats.

    http://www.2142-stats.com/BF2142+Info/Weapons.html

'Little contribution for reading through my questions.

    • Reaching your downed teammate in the open or under fire can often lead to two dead players instead of one. The defib has a long reach, meaning an assault player does not need to crouch or go prone to revive someone. use your right defib before you reach your friend, and run over him as your defib fires off, doing so allows you to sprint the entire time except for those crucial seconds where you're simply jogging to zap him back to life.

    • When reviving a squad member use your VOIP to tell him you're reviving him, doing so allows him to be ready to move as soon as possible.

    • After you've been killed, left clicking will signal every assault player's mini map that you need a revive, and mark them as crosses. You can only call out three times, be sure to space out your cries, otherwise freshly spawned medics close to you will not see you on their mini map.

    • When you're under fire with an assault player coming to your rescue, hold down the crouch key(L-CRTL). Players are revived in the prone position, which is slow and vulnerable. Holding the crouch command will instantly have you crouching, as there is no delay from prone to crouch unlike prone to standing straight up. Revived straight into the crouching position allows you to move the instant you're alive again, it leaves you less vulnerable, more mobile, and puts you back into the action.

    • Never press the Enter Vehicle key(E) to enter a vehicle, hold it down. Holding it down will remove any chance of you being run over by an allied vehicle that isn't full, as you'll enter the vehicle no matter how fast it's going.

Hope some of this helps. If you're not after tips, I can do my best to get videos of everything above, or like I said just general weapon use.

For the clips, I'm looking for footage that shows basic tactics on how to use the Voss, Scar/Krylov, and just other stuff about the class in general. Like diving when you revive, or how to use med hubs and so on. If possible just show yourself playing with live action (not priming) and I'll handle the rest.

As for length it doesn't necessarily matter, I don't have any specifics on length but if you recorded sound that would be nice.

Here's what I have on my settings for xfire.

You have to tell xfire where it is to record audio with. Vista Audio I suppose tells it to record any sound the computer processes.

Ok, for people who want specifics..

    Footage Needed for Voss
    1. General ass kicking with it
    2. Footage that shows tactics on how to use it in both full auto and semi auto (ex. 3 round burst on full auto to show that it's better to easier to get headshots)
    3. Overall showing off how to properly use the weapon

    Footage on Scar/Krylov
    Same as Voss

    Footage on Unlocks
    1. Show how to use each of them properly, like diving and reviving with the defib
    2. Advanced tactics for each
    3. Overall advice on them
(since this is an assault guide, players will need to know how to revive, use the rockets and herzog, and usefulness of smoke and radar nades).

    Extra stuff.
    1. If there's more you want to add to the guide. please include it and let me know what you're showing to the viewer

Post links to your vids on a file share or whatever, lemme know what it is and what unlock or weapon it's for.

    Update

I'm now accepting footage for a support guide as well since I'll be out of commission for a month on gaming. If any of you wanna send footage just post it here.

As for the format I'm basing it off of Allane's guide as he gave me the suggestion.

EDIT: If you can't get sound, don't worry about it. It's not necessary.

It appears that many players do not know about running revive, or as I refer to it, the circle of life. Even in BF2, you can run past a corpse without stopping to do revives. And if you fail the first time, you can circle back a couple more time before the defib has to fully recharge.

There are times when you shouldn't do the circle of life. If you are being fired upon by one hostile, you can do the circle of life, unless you hear grenades being thrown. Before you run into revive, check to see how the player died (grenade, rocket, or under gun fire) If the area has suppression fire by three hostiles, it's best to leave the teammate to die.

On TTP, I like to kill one hostile, then wait for a medic to arrive. Then I kill the medic and the freshly revived player. If I suspect there is a squad near a corpse, I fire rockets and see if there is any damage being indicated. If there is, I usually chuck a grenade in the area.

Btw, do you have a fileshare account?

Let me know please, meanwhile I'm gonna try and find a way to download vids off xfire.

EDIT: Gah, there's no method that allows me to just download it straight from xfire. I suppose you could add me on xfire and send it to me that way or set up a fileshare (or something similar) account and post the link to it that way.

I know I'm probably asking for a lot but right now this is all I got. I have no either way of getting footage. Besides, it'd be better to show off everybody's skills rather than just one person. All the people here kick ass in some way, and I'd be happy to prove it.

Yep this is how it's done, and remember, it will also record anything said over IN-GAME chat/VOIP. So you want to be careful with language and conversation content.

Well as long you're not admitting to smoking pot or some other crime I think you'll be fine. But I suppose it would look bad on ttp's part if we appear to all cuss like sailors.

I don't have fileshare. I added you to my friends list yesterday so let's try sending you the video on xfire...
