Glitching

Hello
On Kashan desert you can drop FOBs through the roof of the bunkers onto the ground floor.
Is this glitching ?
Is that cheating ?
Is that against TTP rules ?

IF not ..................................................

How in the holy F do you get the FOB to drop in the rear garage area.... opposite the main entrance ?

Priming now and I have tried litterally hundreds of times to get the FOB in that rear area.
I can drop it in the front, left or right side, within 3 attempts but I have only got it in the garage once.

HELP ME ?

Usually in the bunkers area, the only way I've managed to accomplish it on a few rare occasions was to mark the spot I wanted to place it. Then go outside along the wall until I'm even with the area I want it to go, when I call for it, sometimes it will place itself inside, sometimes it will bounce and kill me, other times I've had it deploy on the roof of the bunker (wtf

). Essentially, your guess is as good as mine, and that's coming from an FOB whore

Well, we know it can be done, just not consistently. The real question is, will placing the FOB in that area give your team an unfair advantage over the other team?

I am inclined to say no, although i would agree defending it would be much easier. It will still require defense, and a strategy to keep it up. A good team, or Bravos squad for that matter, will find a way to penetrate the defenses and bring it down.

However, keep in mind the disadvantages of trying to place the FOB there. If it goes on top, its fair game for choppers and tanks to take it out with ease. If it bounces off the wall it could level your entire squad creating a major set back. And, the longer you and your squad stay there trying to score the PR version of a hole in one, the better a target you make for the other team, at least the ones that are advacing and taking new ground.

I believe I saw a Youtube video of how to get it back there.

Prone in the back corner and look toward the front entrance. Aim somewhere near the upper right hand corner of the large entrance and order it. It should plop safely down in front of you. Just in case clear the room anyway. I just quickly did this in a local server and it placed first try.

By no means do I think it is glitching. Ones that get stuck halfway in the walls are sure annoying, but you really don't have control over where they place. If a person knows that "Ohh this is where I look to get it stuck in the wall" then that's a different story...

I know this isn't the place... but maybe this brings up a point... I wonder if there is a way for the Officer to kinda see exactly where and what position he is gonna place things before he places them (for recommendations for a future mod). I'm sure i'm not the only one who has dropped wire and then was like ... That aint gonna work... that's not what I wanted at all.. same goes for all the assets. I've placed a FOB at the gas station (trying to get it between the two tanks behind it) and it ended up somehow INSIDE the gass station... and since you can't get in there, we couldn't build it.. OR destroy it to try to build it somewhere else.. totally sucked ass.

If the PR devs say it is a glitch, then it isn't allowed here at TTP. Go ask them would be your best guess.

Thank you for the photo, I will try it from that spot next time.
Right after I posted I managed to drop it in the garage area but I was moving when I did it so I don't know the exact spot.
I would not waste time during a real game with experimenting but I use priming to try out things that are impractical to test in a full server.

He can't? Must be pretty dang hard to get it in right
