Battlefield 1943 Pushed to 2010

Higher player count, VOIP and ranked server provider hosting all sound really good... I'm glad they are taking the time to make those right.

Still, it sucks that this is not coming out this year.

It makes me wonder how well it will do in the wake of all the new FPS games coming out between now and then? Releasing a game with graphics from even 6 months ago can really discourage sales, and add to the fact they most likely won't have as much advertising budget....

I will back off slightly from my hate rants about BF1943 if they are upping it to 32 players... But still... we're used to at LEAST 48... I hate going backwards.

The maps are generally smaller than typical BF2/2142 maps from what I've seen of reviews of the Xbox release. There's still the whole EA Downloader factor. EA's digital distribution sucks when compared to Steam.
