Thread: Helo performance

Since the upgrade to patch 1.5, and the change over to using the in game widescreen support, rather than launching the game with the "+widescreen 1 +szx 1680 +szy 1050 " and the widescreen fixer program, I have seen the helo TV cam performance go to hell.

Previously, the TV cam was faily smooth. Now it is choppy as hell. Sometimes the helo pilot cam is choppy as well.

My shortcut no longer has anything about the resolution in it.

Anyone else having this issue?

Mine feels the same... A little trick that helps me a bit with smoother gameplay/tv missile, is to add this your console in-game.

gamelock.fps 300

It raises your max fps, making the game alot smoother. Everytime you load bf2, you will have to add that.

Another alternate is to type

game.lockfps 0

Which unlocks it, so you have no limit on your fps.

That did help. Frames jumping up to 140 routinely.... wow.
