Are you experiencing any technical issues with the TTP BF2 server?

I am a fan of the standard assault kits. I almost always find uses for very long range nades or smoke grenades, and whenever I'm on the server and use a smoke grenade, the server lags regardless of me looking at the smoke or not. I'm big on infantry and karkand servers where I spam these little miracles left and right, and the only time I ever have problems with them is on TTP, and it's pretty inconsistent. I don't know what's up.

I agree with the hang time for switching maps. My main issue is when the maps change over, it sometimes kicks me for not having the same version as you, but I have the retail game, that I got at Wal-Mart. I didn't download this game, however, I did download the updates & patches, and the manual Punk Buster Update. I go to join back in, and then it is full again. It happens after say ... 2 maps are played. :5

1, 2, and other: rather long "verifying client data" that is at the end of loading a game, takes about 20-30 seconds, on other servers it takes 3-10.

Last night I was lagging like crazy and when I checked my ping that is where it was... It didn't make sense. Im in Toronto if that makes any difference. Someone here mentioned the atlanta data thingy and I suppose its possible that I might go through it if the server is based in Texas

Well, with all this snow storm stuff going on, you may get MORE issues. Just be calm ancd forget where you placed that hammer.

do a tracert to the server and you'll see what servers you connect to first to get to TTP.

PingPlotter is a good program for that. Much more useful than tracert.

Yea I just did the freeware version of Ping plotter. I live Buffalo NY, and I have a 12% packet loss before I even leave NY and another 17% packet loss in Atlanta. I guess that explains why it takes 15 G36es bullets to kill someone unlike places closer to home.
