Pretty sure you can increase the volume of the input in the game. Options tab voip transmit move it to a higher setting.

Let's make a bet.. If I shoot you outta the sky with a SRAW or tank, you have to quit playing BF2 all together and buy CS:S or TF2. Then make one of those your primary game.
