Hello BF2 players, I just bought BF2 last night for 7bucks and i plan on seeing yall on the servers, Im newish to the game as i have played bf2142 and bf1942. So i kinda have an idea on what im doing, other than that im lost, So the reason of this post is to introduce myself as im comming from the CSS realm of TTP and i hope to share my teamplay on the BF2 servers, I am new tho so i do apologize if i screw up. Now to the real buisness, I have 2 questions pertaining to BF2. First is the 1.5 patch, For somereason i cant click on any of the links to download it, I keep getting 403 Forbidden error or page cannot be displayed. Any ideas? And second, BF2 Project reality, Is that a complete different game to buy or is it a patch/mod? If so where can i download that as well? Thanks everyone! hope to see u on the Battlefield soon!

Look for squads led by anyone from IRON, PHX, HRD, iamjohnnyrico, or any other reg you see posting in the BF2 forums, and they will show you the ropes. Welcome to yet another wonderful TTP server.

haha Any ideas about why i cant download the patch tho? and what about project reality?

If you got it on Steam I think the patch is included. There is a DL post in the PR forums for how to DL the core and levels, then install them.

Ahha. Ty civil. I did download it from steam, but when i start up the game i still get the message for the 1.5patch. And i am going to Dl PR right now.

I am not positive on the Steam and 1.5 patch, but thought I saw someone else say it was included. One thing you might want to make sure of is that Punkbuster is updated. If you have any other problems let us know, and I am sure someone will have an answer.

I don't think you should download PR before you have the 1.5 patch in. I might be wrong here but if I was you, I would make sure that BF2 is installed properly before moving on to download PR.

And Civil has a point, make sure Punkbuster is up to date.

PS: Project Reality is a BF2 mod. Whenever you download the core and levels, I was told to install the core first and then the levels after.

Rawr, this is so confusing!!! so many downloads and updates. haha ok well atm i got PR .87 dled but i need .86 first so im dling that one to. Im going to download the 1.5patch and ill install that first then .86 then .87, Then after that i gotta do the core then the levels? Is that what ur saying basically? Also how to i update punkbuster?

Oui Oui..

you can start to download PR core and levels(takes awhile), but don't install until you figure out whats up with your Bf2 and 1.5 issue
