New to BF2 and Hello TTP

Just picked up BF2 finally. Decided I had to make the plunge.
I have a couple problems though. I can't find a fix on TTP site, maybe someone has had this problem and can lend me a hand...
When I connect I get kicked very quickly for 2 reasons (no pattern, seems random which one) the first is Dissalowed program or driver, but I am using Windows 7 with Xfire and Steam running and nothing else. Second problem is kicked for 1 min for admin decision by punkbuster, but my PB is updated entirely.

Any help?>

Are you set to launch the BF2 executable with Admin Privileges? And make sure that Xfire is set to launch as Admin Privileges as well. Otherwise you will experience issues. When I tested 7, it gave me all kinds of issues until I corrected the things I have listed above.

It is my understanding that PB still hates Win7 for sleeping with its sister, and PB is refusing to return Win7's lawnmower until it apologizes.

On the first message, have you tried running BF2 without xfire/steam running and/or have you tried disabling each program's in-game overlays? Are you using stock drivers for your video card and/or are they WHQL certified or are they beta?

Are you running BF2 and/or PB as an administrator (and/or have you tried disabling UAC)?

On the second message, what is the exact error that comes up? Are you being kicked for idle time exceeded (which is an automated part of the server, PB is just the intermediary)?

The in-game overlays were the problem. Steam is the culprit.

If you need to join a squad, look for RICO squad, I hear they're pretty good. Other than that enjoy one of the finest games and one of the finest servers in the land.
