Vehicles and Tickets
Just a reminder to folks that vehicles do in fact cost tickets for your team if you lose them. You can find the values in the manual but it does go up in relation to the importance of the vehicle.
I say this because of what I experienced last night while playing Korrengal Valley. Our team (US Army) was kicking ass and taking names when my squad hears a vehicle coming down the road. Totally unsolicited the Stryker APC shows up and begins to follow us around, while the gunner is typing asking where the insurgents are. There were a few around but we had taken care of them...
The APC then proceeds to follow us around, seemingly firing its gun at random and generally only calling attention to the fact that we were there. I typed a message that they should leave and they seemed almost pissed in response.....
Moments later it was down and we had lost both the asset and the ticket value of it and the two 'guys' in it.
This said I can't say too much since my squad left humvees sitting about at times because of terrain or because we needed to check something out. I found it funny that we encountered many insurgents but none of them had taken our empty humvee out. A humvee is 5 tickets. Five tickets that an insurgent doesn't have to get shot from, five tickets that the Blufor team sometimes leaves sitting around unguarded.
Destroy your enemies unmanned vehicles, but also do not use ones that you do not need to.
Either way I had an awesome time last night in Korrengal. I wish that map was played more since the terrain is unique in PR.

Re: Vehicles and Tickets
Well, I'd love to see it played more often, but many people complain that it will "empty the server". My theory is that if your server is populated, you'll keep the players (or quickly get them back) regardless of what map is playing.

Regardless though, vehicles are what can win or lose a game on some maps through the proper or improper use.

Re: Vehicles and Tickets
I love Korengal. For me it is fun both as insurgent or marine. I cannot say this about all insurgent maps.
I came to the map late, but had good fun while there. My goal is to succeed in any mission - and live to succeed again.
God grant that I may not be found wanting, that I will not fail this sacred trust.

Re: Vehicles and Tickets
I have to say, in addition to the OP.
Don't destroy Insurgents vehicles unless needed (or they may provide an advantage/flank later).
I.E. Motorcycles - If you destroy these (after the insurgent is dead) it only serves to give them more transport at their main spawn.
Bomb Car - You want to destroy these, because an insurgent could hop in it as you go by and kaboom...

Re: Vehicles and Tickets
I like Korregal Valley, it has very unique terrain. I would love to play as Insurgents sometime. I don't know what happened with vehicles last night, but the squad I was in brought up a supply truck to the Outpost so we could drop some crates and put up some defenses like razorwire and a MG nest. Unfortunately, we were ambushed by a clever insurgent with a grappling hook and he blew up the supply truck. We did go back up there with a Humvee and we managed to keep the Humvee and even made it back to base to get it repaired. But when we went up to look for that last cache, we got hit with a HAT or something and boom, gone. I'm sorry if we lost tickets on the US side, but I wasn't driving, just riding along.
