    VOIP

The importance of VOIP on TTP is Vital. And Especially the In-game voip, and not an outside program. The ability to effectivley communicate with your medic, support, and engineer, are key to obtaining the MAXimum amount of points in a given round. So far Humans, 99.9% of TTP gamers* have only created Speach as the most useful (and useless) form of cummunication. Thus the importance. Theres maybe a bakers few dozen different commands , but none of them tells for you to "crawl up in under there."

If you are really serious about bf2, I cannot stress the VOIP enough.

I have one that plugs into the sound card via headphone plugs. No extra software needed.

*(the 1% accounts for J.McCas and ToxicFrito, apes)

here's a tip for those of you don't use VOIP cause you like the rumble of your awesome creative sound system (like me.)

solution: radio shack carries a mic only headset for $30. it uses a watch battery for mic amp, so the clarity even with background noise is superb, at least i've had no complaints. it also comes with a very long and lightweight cord (one wire, so it's almost undetectable.)

VOIP what would we do without it. Now that Christmas has come and gone and I now have my mic I can finally communicate effectively. It makes such a difference. Its like riding around in a Ford Model-T that your 6000 year old aunt twice removed drives compared to an AstinMartin like James Bond drives.

I have a 7.1 Audigy2 creative setup, and I use my mic more than jesus. Ne excuse in not speaking.

It's fun having to actually scream over gunfire, or struggle to hear your teammates as they try to talk to you in a firefight.

As well, it's good to hear others with sound systems blaring (non-headphone users), since while they're talking, you can hear what's going on around them, and understand WHY they are saying what they are saying.

Such as........."holy shit I'm pinned dow......BOOM BLAMMOB BOBOOM CRACK CRAAKAKa......."(akward silence and end of communication.)

You have a basement? Your obviously not in Texas! It would be nice to have a basement to use as a computer room so that I could yell like everyone else.
