On that same map, what are the helo's for? I was in your guys squad too, when we all died somewhere out near the West side of the map and we respawned on the carrier. I remember we all hopped into a helo, but then I lagged and accidentally exited the helo and got left behind. I remember hopping into another chopper and asking to be dropped off on the East beach and the guy took off towards the west side, shot a couple of guys and then returned to the carrier and rudely told me to GTFO of his chopper. I remember taking a screenshot of it, but it just seems like the damn chopper whores that round were plain awful. But to clarify, I know there are transport choppers and attack choppers, am I supposed to only request transport from specific ones? How else am I supposed to get off the carrier?

In a boat. Yes, I am serious. Boats are nice to use for covering all that lovely water, rarely do they get shot down like helicopters. It's hard for the enemy to hear them so you can make landfall in peace and quite, without an ambush waiting on you.

Uhm attack helicopters will very rarely transport troops {really shouldn't ever}, there simply is not enough room to transport more than one person, who should be a navigator or gunner depending upon the chopper. Also, since it takes attack helicopters so long to respawn, no one wants to risk losing them to transport one lone trooper. It would be better to have a team that knows how to place rally points/forward observation bases, there for you can spawn on land and move with your squad.

hey, thanks for the response, but how do I tell the difference between an attack chopper and a transport chopper? They look the same, except one has closed side doors?

The attack chopper probably has all the armaments on the side, and the closed doors like you mentioned

I'm not really trying to complain and I don't know what TTP's stance on this is in general, maybe it is lenient as the overall goal is to attract more players to TTP, but I am finding an influx of new players on the server. This in and of itself is not such a bad thing, as I am still relatively new and I can understand if players are just unfamiliar with the game. Heck, I've even gone so far as to try to help new players learn how PR works (one bullet kills, 30 sec warm ups on APC turrets, how to build with a shovel, patches, playing medic, etc). But there are a lot of new players who like to blow up assets, one-man vehciles, run off with other squad's trucks and vehicles. Fly helicopters but don't understand what keypads are... It's kinda frustrating, or hilarious... Just the other day I saw two guys in the same squad yell at eachother to get out of the same chinnook and then tk eachother. Hahahaha. I'll have to see if I have some screen caps saved at home later tonight. But then I made the mistake of getting in one of their choppers, requesting to be dropped off with the rest of the team somewhere near E2K4 and getting dropped off in C5K5 in the middle of nowhere! WTF? Hahaha, I just don't know what to say...

I understand what your trying to get at, but this was going on for about 45minutes; We kept vote kicking but they kept coming back and then vote kicked stopped working after about 5 minutes after. Plus this was at the main. they were not doing anything at the time except playing around, while only 2 of us, demos and I were trying to cap flags by ourselves. (The rest of my squad was stuck in base because of those 2.)

Well, I decided to start a squad of my own when I got left out in C5 near an enemy captured flag. Why the helo pilot decided to drop me there after I asked him if he could take me to E2, boggles my mind. Radarrat joined in afterwards and then we manned an APC after I got killed by a tank near that enemy flag. We managed to live for quite a while until we started losing tickets 'cause the rest of the team didn't care about securing flags or defending flags. It was epic failure. We made it a whole 30 minutes before losing some 300+ to 0. I have never played such a short round or lost by such a large margin on TTP before that night... I wonder if this was the same map and round you are talking about Monkey, but wow, 45 minutes of doing nothing but dealing with retards? That is enough of a window to simply loose a round!

Great to see that there is a separate thread about help for players. I apologize if the "Disruptive Players" thread was not the right place to pose those questions.

Since this thread is more free and open for discussion, I want to ask that on maps like Muttrah if it is okay for a single player to take a boat when there are not other modes of transportation. I usually avoid that unless my SL orders me to take the boat from the carrier.

I split your questions off from the main topic thread so that it would stay on topic and you could get the kind of answers you'd like in this one. Feel free to post all the questions you want. It's your thread. For most things, it's nice to have some of the moderators for this forum on your Xfire, that way, if you are in game and need them to contact an admin about something that is happening right then. We can facilitate it a lot quicker to get you the kind of admin assistance in game that is necessary. I don't suggest blowing up the Xfire with every little thing, just the really major ones, that way you are still going to use the in game chat to get admin assistance, but in dire circumstances you can at least get a little more specialized help quicker.
