BF:BC2 Technical Issues / Tweaks

Yep , CTD is a common problem with Nvidia and there are some ATI as well. Been scouring through the EA UK forums for solutions, and I've tried just about every fix mentioned. DX9 has been the most stable, though a bit laggy at first.

I had way more problems with the ATI than with the Nvidia. So I guess YMMV (also I'm on XP, things are probably different with 7)

dunno if anyones been addressing the lag issues as of late (only a month into the game so might not be a new thing) but past week or so been gettin pretty laggy also does the server ever go down for a restart that might help ?

We're aware of the lag issues. We're working as much as we can with our server provider to isolate.

Whenever I try to update it, it crashes and says Windows recovered from an unexpected shutdown.

Any ideas? I tried downloading the R9 patch directly with no luck. Uninstalled and reinstalled, no luck.

Win7 64bit if it helps.

How are you installing it? Retail or Digitally?

Make sure that everything you execute is being ran by administrator. Just right click any exe or shortcut and go to compatibility mode and then check run as administrator. I'm on Win7-64 with no issues but I'm using the digital version. If you installed the game in default directories it can cause problems as well. When you go to the control panel there is a section for error reporting. Would you mind pasting that?
