Step up to the plate

Would like to request that we as members of Texas Team Players... playing on TTP servers - review how our attitudes in BC2 currently differ from our other games.

1 - I see very little in the way of resident clan / members reinforcing what TTP is all about on the servers, especially when priming during or leading up to peak times. Example - when priming and one side is outnumbered two or three to one... I would expect that a resident member would switch sides, especially when called upon to balance teams OR - if unable to switch because of recent activity, call on someone from your side to move over.

2 - I see no discouragement, especially in low pop servers, against deployment area camping. Great, now we are outnumbered 3 to 1 AND all the objectives are capped enemy AND the opfor is camping the deployment area.

3 - Call out those nucklejobs that are griefing and tk'ing for assets... Speak up for TTP when someone off server shows up talking smack and dissing the community while they do all they can to educate all us 'noobs' in how to ruin the match.

Just a few observations - I know that with some admin tools not up to snuff and the lack of VOIP in game make it difficult, but it's not impossible - I guess, just have a little pride in the community and reinforce what Texas Teamplayers stands for.

Admins can be watching whether they are playing or not. Calling out griefers, hackers, team killers, _______.......everyone should point these guys out. It is the same as any other game that TTP hosts. I know a lot of you have x-fire and steam running, never hurts to try and message an admin to get the problem player resolved.

And.... base raping is a valid tactic otherwise they would have made the base(s) 'Out Of Bounds' for the opposing team. However, it is a little overkill while in priming mode as you want to attract attention, not scare them away.

Exactly - if you can't break out of a base when the server is full, then you should be playing rune-scape.

On the other hand, when its 3 on 7 and occassionally someone joins the server for one death and then leaves - raping the base just to pad your stats and unlocks sucks...

Nor does it help the server populate. Usually quite the opposite.

I agree that these should all be gentleman's rules, but nobody will ever get banned for not enforcing the above.

But everyone should be switching over when it needs to be done, but also be careful not to stack the teams.

:6 Well noted. I feel the same. I will say this that their are some ttp regs that are working very hard to keep the game fare. I applaud all that do. I will say this, at this time the clans are wanting to stick in the same squad because of teamspeak. I feel that will go away as soon as viop starts to work. Shoot you later evilblackjack :4

Before you make comments about a resident clan members supposed lack of pride in this community, you should probably try and discuss your concerns with them in a PM. Maybe they saw the situation differently. Just a thought.

If not, you could call them out on the forums and openly discuss both sides of the situation.

and admittedly, the AB in this game is quite FUBARed so even IF people WANTED to switch to the loosing side...they couldnt. Been there on MANY an occasion :3

I have had similar thoughts, but would point out, for this and every other "stack" thread, that I (for one at least) don't usually notice the team imbalance until someone calls it out.
Then, if I (for example) did switch, I would not be able to switch next round when it happens again.

What Really grates me is joining a squad with some clan tags I recognize, and spawn green on sniper after sniper.......

You are offended because you were in the situation I discribed but chose not to call you to the mat?
There is a reason for that... Because I wanted to just ask the community to reflect on the values of what we are all about... not call for admin action, not flame anyone, not mention names. But - as you were there - Why didn't you speak up about balance or to discourage the base rape while trying to prime the server?
