What kind of peeps generally fill your squads?

Noobs? People with no common sense? Awesome, tactical team players? Indians from India? Red necks? People with no VOIP?

I always tend to find a lot of Indians in my squads...

They're so loud and dramatic...

Then why start a post that is almost certainly gonna get some of the wrong kind of action, just based off the title of it. If you care to change the title of the topic and ask what kinds of people we meet on the game server and how we interact with them, then fine. If not then I'm going to come back this evening and lock this topic up.

Since you modified the topic title, I felt it would be right to modify my answer. Thank you for changing the topic title. I really appreciate it. We don't need forum trolls and people who look for anything to post a response too in a inflamatory way. I squad with all kinds of people. Some I like, some I don't care for how they play the game, and then some that just don't know when to shut up.

Either way, so long as they don't mic spam, talk over my orders, and in general attempt to learn to play the game better. I'm a fairly nice guy. I don't mind teaching someone what I know about the game, what I cannot stand are those who listen and then go do exactly what I said not to do. There are times to be patient and times to be harsh. It all depends on how well the person is responding.

I think we are getting new people in PR. I have noticed we are getting people who are still learning how to play.Last night we had people in Bradley's who did not know about the tows. Played on the Texas server joined a sq and then after a few minutes they started speaking German.I decided it was time to leave. That Texas server has a lot of new people and it is refreshing to answer their questions about strategy and assets. I have noticed a lot of names on ttp that i do not recognize. must be new people.

Shoot all types... folks from Europe but mostly local to this continent I think. We've been getting some new players, different ages, some more experienced than others.

I like getting in squads with new players to help show 'em the ropes... that's what folks here did for me and it's nice to pay it back. Of course, with the way I get my ar$e handed to me in this game, I'm probably not the ideal "mentor".

I for one welcome any players that are willing to come play on the server. There has been a sharp decline in PR player numbers recently and any and all players who show up are welcome, granted they aren't being asshats. But you normally have to go through a few rough stones before you can find a diamond in the rough. So if it means that we can get a few more players to regularly frequent the server, I'm willing to put up with a few loose screws. Admins on the server are usually pretty good about taking out the trash and what not, so I don't think it's that big of a problem. I like playing with people from all over, it keeps it interesting because then not everyone sounds like they're from the mid-west

Recently? for about the past oh i would say 8-12 months there has been a decline since the stimulus package of early summer 09....bout time for another round of that wouldn't ya say fella's? i kno prizes shouldnt be the motive for playin, but hell i was 2nd place for 4 weeks just because i had fun being on the server. hell we had 64 people at 4pm cst every damn night! i miss those days, lots of things different now. I remember me and Ness would prime on the 32 player kashan map. that map would kick the server off full steam! maybe we should try a bit of that?

Last time i tried squadleading on ttp i got flamed for asking if they used mumble, litterally i was called an idiot, no ones following orders, can i take hat kit "no" can i take lat kit "no" then proceeds to take a sniper kit and so on. so i'll just stick to my usual position which is right by my squadleaders ass.

I wouldn't squad lead as often if there weren't some truly terrible SL's sometimes. I mean, don't get me wrong, 90% of the time I let someone else SL because they are waaaaay better than me. But I still can't stand that 10% of the time. I try to stay in a squad for as long as I can stomach it if the SL is incompetent. I don't mean that they don't know what to do, they are just plain lacking. I mean, I've had SL's that took a sniper kit and ran off and go killed and then asked the squad where we were. I've had some SL's that tell us to charge into an area, even though the entire squad is pinned down and we are all trying to revive/heal/return fire, etc. But I just usually wait until another squad starts up and if they need a player, I'll hop over, unless the server numbers are small, then I just grin and bare it.
