Battlefield 2142 - 1.51 Closed BETA
Just announced by Barrie Tingle today on Twitter:
Closed Beta starts next week so watch out for Public Beta shortly after that.“We have discovered that the scheme of 'outlawing war' has made war more like an outlaw without making it less frequent and that to banish the knight does not alleviate the suffering of the peasant”

Re: Battlefield 2142 - 1.51 Closed BETA
I think there's something about a 2142 version of Blue Pearl, Northern Strike becoming free, and hopefully the game coming out on Steam.
Probably just a bunch of wishful conjecture, but hey, it's possible. In terms of game balance, I guess I just wish the Voss did way less damage...maybe a Clark fire rate nerf too. That weapon doesn't bug me as much, but sometimes the rate at which you can blast away at some guy seems cheap. Once I got four guys in a row with it, and they weren't coming one by one...some equipment changes would be nice too, like buffing the Assault shotty attachment but nerfing the rockets. Or maybe making the Gruber sniper scope stabilizer a better option somehow.

That's what I read to. Also, there are, apparently, two other maps, in addition to Blue Pearl, that are being released and there's a rumor of a new Titan map. All the secuROM stuff is being removed to and I'm pretty sure that it's going to be released on Steam (hopefully).
