Thread: What is going on with TTP??? (a lack of teamplay and problems with the system)

I have been playing on TTP for quite some time now and it is a great server. However, lately there seems to have been a lot of problems, with squad bugs, system shutting down, etc. So what is going on?

Just as important is the fact that I have noticed a dramatic drop off in teamplay, which has usually been great on TTP. Last night was typical, I ended up commanding the US side on Wake Island (nobody else wanted to) and it was a joke...only two squads out of 9 were using mics to communicate. There was no concerted effort to move onto Wake, as everyone just sat on the carrier. It reminded me of the Blue Pearl map, where if the US first assault fails is pretty much goes down hill. Yet, on Wake you can easily cap flags. I kept asking squad leaders to get the jets and jump on bases but to no avail. There was just no teamplay at all...it was pathetic. In stark contrast I could see that the Chinese team was working together pretty well. After a long time I just gave up and called it a night.

In summary, TTP is a great server but this lack of teamplay of late really needs to get addressed. I look on the team rooster and see a lot of old hands but also a lot of new names...clearly we need to do more to educate people about 'teamplay'.

Opps...I forgot TTP has been renamed to TPG....

I had to leave just before that map started. What happened was all the air whores moved over to the other team, which already had the better squadleaders (GMG, Rico, Drax) so it was a given that Wake would not go well.

Now, regarding team play, you were on Clean Sweep a day or two ago and kept jumping in the MEC MI-28 at Comm Central trying to fly and at least 3 times in a row all you succeeded in doing was flipping the chopper over and crashing it. I don't think that represents team play. Get in single player mode and at least get your keys/joystick mapped to where you can control the thing before trying to fly in the game.

As a regular on TPG for some month, I must admit that Arkoudaki is quite right. A few evenings ago, I left my cosy squad to command the MEC squad and nobody but nobody obeyed any order... I was so disgusted, that I nearly did what most do these times: quit commanding in the middle of the map... But I stayed for the two full squads who were trying. The other 7 were either sniping or waiting for jets. Finishing losing Dragon Valley by 180-0. I returned to my squad after that. (I had 3 mutiny calls for my efforts)

For some reason I get this bug when playing BF2 where I can't fire a weapon and I keep moving to one side...I have checked the forums but can't figure out the bug. I have reloaded my game several times but every now and then I get this problem. That's what was happening in the MI-28, as I can pilot/gun fairly well (not the greatest but okay). Also, I am not flying with a joystick...just using the keyboard.

When I had the problem I logged out, rebooted the game, and rejoined the action on TPG. The problem seems to go away...but like I said, it happens every now and then. I did apologize to my gunner about the mess.

Eh, I don't really believe there has been an overall drop in teamplay on the server. The game just kind of ebbs and flows and sometimes you're on the side that's getting its ass kicked and other times you're doing the ass kicking. If you stand back and look at the overall formula, it all averages out. I guess I was on earlier or later than you Ark cause while you had a shitty experience yesterday I had a great couple of rounds last night before I had to run. Yeah maybe there have been a few too many squad bugs but hopefully that can be worked out.

Like always, if they're not following orders annoy them with your banter and point them out until they submit and spawn green.

Thats where you report the squad leader for disobey orders and for non teamplay......

People who constantly deny orders are asking for a ban because they are breaking primary rules
