Thread: Base Raping

Talking strategies on how to play OMAN is cheap. You have a wide range of experienced and non experienced players mixed together that can make or break the map. It’s the same argument when you have one jet whore owning the entire map or an F35 base raping fool. You either get capped out and/or have all your jets stolen and the base rape begins. Me personally, ESCAPE, DISCONNECT. I’ve bee through it for years and can’t be bothered with it anymore. If that’s the way you want the server to live, that’s the way the server die.

I blame it on the map rotation. I’ve always blamed it on the map rotation. Until the admins come full circle and figure it out that they are their own best enemy, nothing will change and that includes all the repeated threads about base rape, priming, etc. It’s up to them to change the way things are done around here or it will never change.

It’s time to evolve with the game or move on. You may not like it but it is what it is and it’s what you make of it. You can look at stats all you want, players don’t care about stats, players/gamers want to play and they will look elsewhere to play when certain servers don’t offer the them what they want. It’s a shame that the team work principle that drives this server is not incorporated into other servers.

It was one of the main reasons that I played here.

And Blues’s quote about hiding behind the rules is kind of hypocritical since the admins hide behind the same rules they live by when it comes to the banned and abuse forums. Like I said, it is all or nothing. And the way Dictionary Draco brings his legal terms into these forums makes it all that much more important to make sure you know what you are talking about or it can ruin it for the non experienced/new member/player.

2 mentioned that the admins that run this are reasonable people; maybe it is time for a change like upcoming November elections.

It has been discussed and there is no way to draw a line in the sand without subverting the rules of the server. So I was mistaken in the unwritten rule to help populate the server. Sorry for the misinformation and the kick/warnings will seise for attacking uncaps. However i would like to add that as many have noticed and stated we are all trying to play the game of which doesn't start until there is enough people on the server. Please use a little common sense and look at who is playing. Those new guys are not up to the skill level you are use to playing with.

Back in the old days when we had a SF server we had a pretty solid unwritten honor code while priming about armor.... and most of the people listened to it.... which led to the games eventually filling up to a point where armor became necessary. It's been quite a while but I think we tried to wait till it was at least 10 on 10... if people didn't listen, then we adjusted and made them pay for it. It was a helluva lot more fun priming trying to out manuever the other team rather than pound them into the ground at their main.

I disagree - Double is a solid squad leader, helps the noobs learn when they're in his squad. I can see his frustration though. You ask over and over for the base raping to stop and finally you give in... shite happens... people gotta vent too, it's part of life.

Are all of you forgetting that this is a fucking game, everyone here at one time has done some form of base raping. Who the hell cares, its a damn game. Stop all this bitching and moaning and just play to have fun. If that person kills you, then by god kill him back 10 fold.
