Can't seem to get into server

As the title says i'm having issues getting into the BF2 server. When i first load BF2 i can choose the server and get to the loading screen, but once thats finished and i enter i get the kit selection screen and then a connection lost message across the screen, followed by me disconnecting out of the server. After that the server constantly appears in the server list with 2500 ping and i can't even get to the load screen, it keeps saying couldn't connect. I can join other servers just fine. Any ideas?

If the ping is 2500 thats means the server is down and probally restarting.

This has happend every time i try to enter the server though and the server list says there are people playing in it.

Hmmmm......It almost sounds like it may be a firewall or A/V conflict. Have you tried shutting down your FW and AV to see if you can then connect?

No, but i got new info on the problem, it seems to have to do with the amount of people in the server. I was able to get into the server when there were 0/64 people. And the same problem occured when i tried to enter a different server that was 60/64. It seems my current internet connection can't handle a large number of people, which would really suck.

Try turning your modem/router off for about 5 minutes,then let it reboot and see if it helps.

If it doesn't.....try uninstalling/reinstalling......for some reason,that sometimes fixes the oddest things. Head up to the "Tech Info" sticky,and all of the links you will need (patches) are posted there.

I was able to get into the server when it was priming today and played for a number of hours with the max # of people around 50. But when i had to leave the server and came back later with the player count at 60 i had the same problem. I'm pretty sure its just my internet connection unable to load all of those people for the first time, just have to enter the server when its less full i guess.

If the player count is at 60, the server is full (for non-reservists).

So it looks like if there are 50 or less people i can get into the server, and once i'm in i don't have any problems. But if there is more then 50 my internet can't seem to handle loading everything up.

And Dex i'd get a reservist slot in a heatbeat if i could, unfortunatly the moths flying out of my wallet are telling me no.
