joystick help

looking for a great all around joystick to buy, any ideas, facts and past knowledge will help...

Persoanlly, I can't justify spending big bucks on hi-end 'flight systems'.

So that leaves me with the Logitech Extreme 3D Pro and the Saitek ST290. Both are excellent. Older versions of the Logitech did have an issue with losing calibration and 'drifting' after long usage but I don't think that's an issue anymore.

so far the Logitech extreme 3d seems to be the number 1 runner up. All the reports say its a great all around joystick. My only scare, is reading a Best Buy consumer report and a guy said it didnt work well with BF2.

i use a logitech attack 3 in bf2 works good enough for what i need

Noobs!!!!!! Joysticks, are over rated. Mouse and keyboards is the way to go.

I used to use mouse and keyboard but I thought a joystick would be much better, turns out, it really doesn't make anything different. I like mouse because you can aim better and stuff but then joystick does barrel rolls better so I can maneuver better. I dunno I just use the joystick now because I bought it and I don't want to just have it sitting there. I do prefer mouse though.
