Interested in starting

I'm hoping to get back into BF2, but I've got some questions if you all don't mind.

1. How often is the server populated. Is is up enough to merit buying the game?

2. Which edition do I need? (Vanilla, SF, etc.)

3. Do squads actually use tactics, or is it everyone for themselves?

4. Where's the cheapest place to buy the game(s) now?

1. Server is populated pretty much every day. Yes, its merit buying the game. You will have a good time...
2. Just buy the normal BF2 or BF2 expansion.
3. Depends on the squad leader. But majority of people on this server always use tactics.
4. Steam would the best place to buy it...

I believe someone posted recently that it's on Steam for $14.95 complete.

Well I wish I could have found that deal. I just spent $30 on it...oh well. Hope it's worth it.

I just finished up looking through the general info thread and noticed that there was a link to ventrilo in there. Do you guys use that, or in-game VOIP?

In game VOIP. Some resident clans have there own ventrilo they use that to talk with there clan-mates and as well as using the in game VOIP.

its $5 at my local best buy :P

most squads (hopefully) use teamwork

you just need vanilla for the TPG server (you get the explainions free now exept for special forces)

the server almost always has enough people to have at least 1 or 2 full squads per side
