Well I will look forward to BFBC2: VIETNAM server option if one develops. The nice things is the game interface is the same and you can easily switch between either version of the game.

I wonder if TPG had a reservist list made for Vietnam, if it would be easier to put one up. Kind of like a donation in a way, we would donate $5 each and if enough people donate we would get a Vietnam server and the ones who donated would be reservists for the first month. If we don't get enough donations, the money that was donated goes to helping out TPG with other things. A bit of a gamble in a way, but perhaps worth it?

We could call it Vietnam Veteran Fund...

Or, just say if we can get X reservists for BC2/VN then we get it because the cost of the server(s) is/are covered.

That is if we are paying "rack rate" from Hypernia for a box. That is 6 reservists per server to cover the cost.

It's not just about money... it's about the number of global players. We'll be a little fish in a big pond. There's ~2300 Vietnam servers out there, and currently there's only 500 that have any servers with anyone on them. I'm going to re-run these during prime time to get a more accurate picture.

I understand the economics of players, but I also understand that during prime time there are usually a handful of our regulars playing Nam on someone else's server. Now if we move say 2 admins from our packed server, threw in those 3-5 regs that are already in the Nam channel, but playing elsewhere, on a server hosted by us then I am pretty sure we could draw in some fresh blood. Heck, I logged into TS the other night and saw plenty of names in the regular BC2 channel that I didn't recognize from games or the forum, so my guess is we are bringing in new players with the BC2 server, so why wouldn't it happen with Nam?

I fight this fight in the name of expanding TPG, not in the name of finding the perfect game. I realize this game is still busted. I realize that the VN expansion will be dead likely in 6 months or less. However, with that said the new TPGers that we could recruit in that 6 months will go on to play other games that we do/will host. The time is now, and hopefully the list below proves my point:

Just thought I would bump this since the server is still full every night, and some days as well, we are still climbing the rankings, and BCVN isn't getting any younger.
