I find it funny that bf3 has been pushed back for release time after time starting 2008. You can do a frame off rstoration of any vehicle you choose on just weekends in less time then they have spent on this game.

I've said it time and time again, I would pay $60 for nothing more than a graphically updated version of BF2.

Since that's not going to happen, give me 64 player max with squads and I'll be happy.

Yeah, BF3 is *still* coming. The beta 'invites' won't be going out until OCTOBER! Wanna bet they don't get bumped into 2012?!

My understanding is that BF3 is going to be more like BFBC2 than BF2. If so, I doubt I'll be a big fan, especially if it's 24-player max. Those of us who enjoy the "community" probably won't enjoy it.
Bf2 remained popular because 2142 and bc2 lacked the sheer awesomeness of bf2. Bf 3 should attempt to surpass this. People are amusing because bc2 was streamlined bf3 will.But bc2 was an attempt to steal the sales of the mainstream console masses who think sticks and stones and fucking nuketown is the pinnacle of gaming.It should be clear to DICE that the will never out do Crap of duty and they should stop trying.BF3 is a sequel to bf2 NOT bc2.As for the release date it may get pushed back to 2012 but DICE said they are aiming for 2011. The beta will be within 12 months of MoH, not 12 months after, but within 12.

I dont want to be the prophet of doom and despair but think of it realistically.Bf 2 is entering its golden age.We should take advantage of it while it still last.

RO 2 looks like the new battlefield
commanders,squads,1st person cover,gun handling,destruction,tanks,awesome sniping and more.The only thing missing is flying, but it may be possible with mod tools
Not to mention Battlefield 3 is comming, I think bf2 will be dead by the the start if 2012, except for the mods like fh2 or pr.But this is just my guess of whats going to happen, but just because bf2 can survive bfbc2 doesn't mean it will last past bf3

This game looks bad ass, I will keep both eyes on this one...

Learn "market speak". "aiming for 2011" is hardly a firm commitment.

The BF3 BETA is supposed to be released "within" 12 months of the release of MoH. MoH was released Oct 12, 2010. If the BF3 BETA is released on Oct 10, 2011 that is still "within" 12 months! And that's just for the BETA!

If it were going to be out sooner than 12 months, they would have said so, like Spring '11 or Summer '11. But no, they give themselves a huge 1 year cushion!

To date, no game developer has accurately forecasted a new game release date a year in advance.

There's simply no way BF3 will have a production release in 2011.

If my memory is good, we won't necessarily get the beta within the 12 months after MOH release... We are supposed to receive an «invitation» for the beta during that period of time. My guess is that in october, MOH players will receive a message saying they will have the chance to play the BF3 beta in six months.
