Red Dot for MG36?

Anyone know why the red dot for my MG36 is missing? I;ve tried no scope, red dot scope, and even the x4 scope and there is no dot or arrow on my screen. I looked around on the net and some people have the same issue but it doesn't seem to be everyone. And to make things REALLY weird, I happen to be using my MG36 without the dot and accidently picked up someone elses and it was there on their kit.

Also, I read that the red dot for the MG36 is a setting on the server as well?

The MG36 comes with that optic already installed. It has no iron sights (sad day for me. I love the G36 weapons system, but not red dot optics). As to why the red dot isn't actually appearing when you remove all optics upgrades... I am unfamiliar with the MG36 because I don't typically use it. Perhaps other people here do in fact know of that issue.

I'm thinking it may have something to do with were your graphic settings are?

Side note, I want to see how it looks for you. I have never seen a MG36 w/o the red dot.

My red dot works just fine on our server. Always has. I don't use any optics upgrades with the weapon.

It is possible to remove the red dot on Hardcore servers. That's server-side though.

Is it only the MG36 that doesn't have the red dot, or is it all weapons with the red dot? Can you see the red dot on a non-hardcore server?

I meant all weapons, not just the MG36.

You cannot turn off the red dot for any weapon at the server level. You can turn off cross-hairs when you're not scoped in, but not the actual red-dot, or it'd make the red-dot perk pointless. In the case of the MG36, the red-dot in place of iron sights.

I have played on several hardcore servers where the red dot for my MG36 does not show up while zoomed in. Since I didn't make any changes on the client side I assume it's server side. I will find these servers for you.
